Representative Democracy is the best form of government for a large country because it is divided into states or provinces with separate federal governments. In order that these states and provinces effectively exist as individual political subdivisions, they should elect their own executive leaders who will implement the government policies. Separate legislative and judicial bodies are also elected or appointed. At the same time, these lower level leaders will represent their states or provinces in the Central Government.

Its the only place it makes sense, we pick represenatives to act on our behalf - direct democracy is when the whole country shows up to vote, like in Vatican City (10 miles of area) - but still considered a country - each persons opinion can be considered
