Are pools a hard thing to keep up?

I hope that they arn't my mom says she won't get one if they are hard. We are looking for a house, and I want her to get a house with a pool.

I have an indoor pool. my dad said it costs almost $1000 to heat up the whole pool in the winter and for water

yes they are-not to mention the added expense of insurance
