No. Under HIPAA law, you cannot talk to her doctor unless she signs a form giving you permission to do so. And she doesn't have to sign the form if she doesn't want to.

No, you cannot get any information from the doctor directly. This would be breaking patient confidentiality rules.
My suggestion to you is, to go along with her to the next doctor's visit. Show some support. Her body is working twice as hard to not only take care of herself, but to take care of a growing child. Where have you been? How have you helped her? How are you making sure that the baby is going to come into this world, happy & healthy? You're worried about a date?!
During pregnancy, a woman's due date will change. The first due date is just a guess. Later on, as the baby progresses and grows (obviously thanks to only her, and not you), ultrasounds are performed, measurements are taken, and then the doctor can have a more accurate expected date of arrival. Ultrasounds, even by the most advanced machines, can still be off by as much as a week. And not only that, but that is still all guesses. Only God knows the exact date of a baby's arrival. Rarely is a woman giving birth on her actual due date, without some sort of induction.
My advice to you is - to show some support. I don't care if I don't get rated best answer for this. Because frankly, you're more concerned with a paternity action, than your own child's well-being. And that makes me so ill. Apparently you haven't looked at the costs of things that a baby requires, from the moment that they are born. Diapers & wipes don't come cheap. Bottles, formula, clothing, socks, bibs, ointments, soap, towels, washcloths, carseats, bassinets, cribs, changing stations, strollers, high chairs, diaper bags, and yes even some toys when the baby is a few months old. Babies aren't cheap!
Right now, she's going through a lot - her body's going through a lot, her emotions are under duress, her entire life is getting ready to change - and the one person that she confides in is the father of her unborn child. If she thought the baby was someone else's - wouldn't she be looking for support from someone more caring?
Just remember - any man can be a father. It takes someone special to be a Dad. They have that saying for a reason. You should decide NOW - how you want your child to think of you. A child will look at their baby pictures, and say "hey, mom? How come my father's not in any of these?"

You can ask all you want but her Doctor won't tell you a thing. Doctor-patient privilege. It's against the law for any health care professional to discuss or disclose any persons information with another.

You can ask until you turn blue. The fact of the matter is, you are not his patient...your ex-girlfriend is, and her doctor won't tell you anything because of the doctor/patient confidentiality privilege.

because you are no longer the girls partner you cannot ask anything about her health from her doctor. can you remember when she first told you about the pregnancy? pregnancy usually lasts nine months and 2 weeks from the date she last had a period , counting from the first day of the period .see if you can ask one of her girl friends .

do not do anything like that ever? coz what if she was right? and she comes to know that you have not trusted her?.it will create a huge problem in your future life.it is better to ask her several times in case of doubts than to ask the doctor.
