Here's my take on it:
Did Ken Lay repent and try to live a righteous life after sinning? No. He was given the opportunity to repent and admit to his "sins" at his trial and plead "not guilty". Everyone sins. Those who admit to their sins and try to be a better person are the ones who are trying to get "right with the Lord". Those who deny their sins and continue to commit them are damned.

1. I didn't hear that.
2. That's between Ken Lay and God.
3. The people he robbed deserve restitution in some form from any money or estate that Ken Lay may have left.
4. Ask the supporters of Tookie Williams. If it's good enough for him, then why not Ken Lay?

If a person truly repents of their sins, asks Jesus to come into their heart to be their Lord and Savior, then the will be right with the Lord. God through the Bible tells us that person is forgiven of their sins and can enter Heaven, since the blood of Christ covers his sin. Through Christ Jesus, the gates of Heaven are open, since He is the only way to Heaven.

Do you think that YOU are qualified to judge someone's standing with the Lord? By the way, I don't think GWB should be commenting on this either.
But isn't it ironic that the implication in your question is that GWB has no right to judge a man's deservedness for redemption. Then you go ahead and judge Mr. Lay yourself (and invite your answerers to share in your condemnation).
Again Neddie, you can't argue a point from both sides of the fence.

First off, GW has no idea how to get right with anything other than that pesky wing we need to clip. Ken Lay was a souless, shapeshifting, baby eating reptilian and he may have left his human body, but if you know the right people you might find him in his reptile form in a secret illuminati virgin sacrificing ritual below the denver airport.

The Bible clearly states that there is no one who is altogether righteous. We have all sinned. God provided a way for us to obtain forgiveness for our sins. His Son, Jesus Christ, paid the ultimate price for our sins. Ken Lay did horrible things that adversely impacted thousands of people; I don't mean to treat this lightly, but the good news (a.k.a. gospel) is that God's forgiveness is greater than all our sin. If it were just about what we earned apart from Christ, then none of us would deserve to go to Heaven.

Who cares? It is no one's business what transpires between an individual and his God. And would you be the first to throw that stone? I consider myself a Christian but I would NEVER throw the first stone. I somehow don't believe that anyone here on yahoo answers has the purity to judge Ken Lay on whether he will "go to heaven", and that includes myself.

I hope everyone is right with the Lord, but if they're not, it's their problem, not mine.
The Lord decides whether or not you're right with Him, not any of us, so there's no need for you to get all worked up about it. That's what good Christians do - they pray for their fellow man, regardless of who it is. And we all know that the President is a Christian, with all you left-wing zealots screaming about him trying to form a theocracy.

I know you worship a Bonzai tree, but in the Bible, Our Lord Jesus Christ makes it quite clear. So even if you keep worshipping your Bonzai tree all of your life, you too shall be redeemed if you ask for forgiveness and accept Jesus Christ as your savior. How's that for a deal, and it's free.
