What a stupid question or comment actually? You are suppose to ask a question dumb a*ss! I'll try to explain to all that don't understand this game.
First i'll say is that all who hate italian soccer really don't know much about soccer or any team sport period!!!
For all you that say defense is killing the game,, let me say this! (You just want to see goals anyways.) You have no concept of sports. There are two components to a team. Some are attackers and some are defenders. Some teams are gifted with attacking and putting on a show. But it is even more difficult to defend and not get much recognition for it. Simpletons just want to see goals! There is so much going on in a game people!!! When will you actually learn just the basics!!! Every team has certain players and sometimes they are not overly gifted with an abundance of goal scrores. They play as best they can!!! Defending is one strategy, but there are many strategies to a game! Often the best games are with very few goals and even no goals! Two great games this past world cup saw very few goals but such dazzling displays of talent finesse agility, endurance and awesome plays! Yes attacking AND DEFENDING!!! France/Brazil one expamle! France totally outclassed the brazilians. Italy/Germany! Italy was attacking all the time!!! Sure some defending too but,,, In the overtime periods they had 3 attackers on! See the stats of the games afterwards!!! Simple stats for you simpletons can tell you a bit more about the game if you cannot appreciate or see all the intricasies of the game!!! Shots on goal! Total shots! Offsides! Ball possession! To name a few!!! God i am wasting my time on you unappreciative stubborn idi*ots.
So come on people! Take off your coloured biased glasses. See they game for what it is! It trully is a great game that few people really know how to play well and it seems that even fewer appreciate great soccer with their being so blinded by prejudism! Too bad i say! What a pitty! Stop being so stupid and blind and jellous of the italians or of anyother country!
Its just a game! Right??? So why all this fuss? No sense of sportsman ship!!! GROW UP!!!!!!

I don't think it seemed strange. Italy played like crap for the last hour of the game and demonstrated to us that a team that constantly defends with 11 men and kills the true beauty of the game can become world champion. Until the Italians play offensive-style football like they used to and like Brazil usually does (albeit not really this time around) and the great German team is now doing, I will never consider them as champions and I hope they will never win the cup ever again. If FIFA was sensible they should kick the Italians out of FIFA for blatantly defending. That's all they do; kill the game...It is just disgusting. When will we see the likes of Romario, Pele, Cruyff, Beckenbauer, Socrates, Zico, Maradona?? When will exciting, spectacular, fun football come back??? Obviously, all those who are happier that Italy won are either Italian or simply don't know diddly squat about football (or soccer for the ignorant). An exciting all-attacking team better come to the forefront, or the Italians with their defensive nonsense will destroy the game...

The more I keep thinking about it...it does seem strange...F Ribery subbed because of exhaustion...Viera off and the Henry....and then Zidane...the main players.....and with one man down they still took it to penalties the "Gift".....check this site out for more info in a couple of days time Zidane's representative said more will be know in a couple of days time??..hmmmm

Strange that you ask this. I was expecting for all three of them to be beaten to the ground by the end of first half. Than I got pleasantly surprised that they are alive. The next thing I remember is Zidane exploding.

I don't know about the others but Zidane deserved it, he was way out of line.But ITALY WON and i couldn't be happier!!!!!
