I used to have extremely severe PMS symptoms, and I had it for about 7 years. I used to sit in my bedroom and cry literally for days. It also occasionally drove me to cut myself when it got really REALLY bad.
Mine calmed itself down when I finally talked to a doctor and went on the pill -- at first it helped just a little, but over time I pretty much came down to normal, after I had my dosage adjusted a few times to fit my body just right.
I understand how hard it can be, and I think you should talk to an ob-gyn. The first step might be to get on a birth-control regimen, as that can help regulate you and keep the mood swings to a minimum. If this doesn't help, you may be able to get onto another treatment, either behavioral or medical, that will help relieve your symptoms.
You should really really talk to a doctor about it, they're the best people to help!

I used to be like that, and it eventually grew to 3 weeks a month. I was so moody, and at times ugly. It went on for years and years. Finally in my 30's I was diagnosed with PMS and depression, and the doc gave me Prozac. I couldn't believe the change it made! It was like lifting a heavy blanket off me...my life changed , my perception of all those little things that used to bother me. I was finally happy. Could concentrate on important issues with clarity, and find pleasure in the small things again. Depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain, and it is truly a disease, not mental illness. Just like Diabetes...a chemical imbalance..being Insulin in that case. So if you have depression, it most certainly is a physiological issue, and can be helped by meds. Some cases of course are more complex and can be due to environmental issues such as abuse, stress, other health issues. Best to see your doctor and discuss it thoroughly.

The best thing you can do is see a doctoer cause there's a lot of woman who are experiencing the same thing and it can be treated. Do yourself a favor and get yourself checked out by a doctor real real soon. There have commercials on sever pms I regret to say that I can't remember the name of the medication mentioned. Just go to the doctor's office trust me it's the best thing you can do. Do what hot momma says she's right.

I had really bad symptoms until I went to a homeopathic doctor. Try it, what they will give you is all natural. Don't go the hormone route, or the birth control route, it will just mess you up more. Also take extra calcium and magnesium. Drink some chamomile tea, pamper yourself. Just keep telling yourself its only for a few days and then it will pass. Nothing is that bad to take your life, EVER.

Go see the doctor. There is something called Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder which is more serious. You would need meds to help with it. Also, try having more clacium in your diet - it has been linked with reduced PMS symptoms.

Oh my gosh you should really tell your doctor so they can put you on some medicine. I have never gotten that depressed but I do turn into a major B****. No one should feel like that every month. I feel really bad for you. You should really be finding something that might help.

premenstrual dysmorphic disorder. i have it and i got help from my doctor. I take zoloft daily and it has made a huge difference. my husband, kids and best friend were amazed. that time of the month my "coping" mechanism went out the window. get help as soon as possible you'll feel sooooooo much better.

You need to give your body what it needs: calcium, magnesium, B vitamins, A & D....
Get plenty of rest, treat yourself to things that lift your spirits, (music, art, friends, etc.). NO SUGAR !!! Sugar makes it worse... Go light on the salt which just makes you more bloated.
