As a seamstress, I have found that the designer patterns are more fun to sew, more complicated. Also, designers set trends. Often the styles are very practical and modest. Hemlines can be changed. The only complaint is when the styles are either oversized or too fitted. Thankfully, the patterns tell you the fit. Sometimes I wish I had made some of the deconstructed clothing ... I guess that is the name for the stuff that looks like a child put it together.

Some people do base their "worth" on designer clothes. My girlfriends who are like this, I think, try to make themselves feel better than others of us who do not care. (self-esteem issues)
I am one of those that wear something, because it looks good. Surprisingly I get complements on my clothes and I usually have to answer their questions about where to buy with "WalMart, Kmart, Fashion Bug, Payless Shoes, etc.
I have even bought some beautiful clothes at the Salvation Army up here in Minnesota. I think because there are so many retailers up here, we get better clothes at these places. Some I have found are Ann Taylor, Mossimo, Levis, Polo by Ralph Loren, Issac Mizrahi for Target, Nike and other name brand clothing. When I get a compliment, I love to tell them, "Thank you! I got it for $1.75!"
So, I say, wear what you want! Don't be a billboard for a multi-million dollar company! They can afford other ways to advertise.

But you could easily make a clothing line and do the samething. You in a sense are jealous of the clothes maker, as you express discontent for something. Where would rich people spend money anyway? Society is designed for people to blow money on expensive items. How else would they feel special for how hard they worked? What you want is called communisum, where everyone is equal. What you are saying doesn't really make sense as poor people buy poor clothes and rich people buy rich clothes. Unless you are full of yourself and spending money you don't have.

I but clothing from inexpensive stores to the most exclusive stores at designer price points. I enjoy clothes, I work in the fashion industry, so it really has become my life. People should wear / buy whatever it is that looks and makes them feel good. Fashion is meant to be fun whether it is a designer label or from a discount store.

I'm not a brand horse. Actually, I'm a crafter and DIYer, so I look for serious sales and bargains, then add my own flair. I spend $2 for a t-shirt at the local Goodwill (where other crazy women take the designer clothes that they bought and never wore) and turn it into a halter, or something cute and unique. And jeans? I buy them on sale, then embellish them however my mood dictates. Flowers I've crocheted, studs, patches, etc.

I am so not one of those people... I prefer to look good and feel comfortable than wear something completely ridiculous just to say is xyz brand. Oh, I'm no so crazy about being anyones billboard, but hey to each it's own.

I hate it when people just wear stuff because it is designer. It could be totally hideous, but hey, its designer! Or, people will not be accepting to cute, cheap, non-designer clothes. That really gets to me. There are many materialistic people like that at my school. I'm glad we are probably on the same page.

that is as much as you what you purchase your baby. If different human beings have a undertaking with it then so be it. It shouldn't hassle you. i could think of it may get grimy and such as you stated they advance out of it quickly. yet what you stated would not seem to high priced. in case you spent a hundred and in basic terms have been given the two shirts or only the shoes that must be terrible yet a hundred for 3 shirts hat and shoes seems approximately precise. slightly severe yet no longer via plenty. i replaced into on the mall with my husband and seen a shirt we actually enjoyed for our son. offered it for $20. i do no longer somewhat like the garments at walmart for my teenagers no longer as a results of fact they lack high quality they are many times no longer that gorgeous to me. i in my opinion does no longer shop at a place like that for my teenagers (or me, Ihate their clothing!) yet you do what you like.
