ok i wanna hear everyone's opinion...just hear me out.... aborting is killing, if u felt mature enough and responsable enough to have sex without being save, than be responsable and mature to face the consequences also!! DONT ABORT! aborting is killin!!! are you a murderer? i dont think so , this child has the same right to have a life, as u did and as everyone else did, ABORTING IS KILLING, sinse the conceptin (sperm meeting ovum) there a life there, even though u see it as a cell, fetus , embryo or anythig... its a life, its a human being, that feels, just like u do ..... DONT ABORT PLEASE!--- ADOPTION IS A GOOD OPTION! or be responsable and have SAVE SEX-

feeling mature enough and responsible enough to have sex is not the same as BEING MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE !
young people are not intelligent enough to get that there are reprecussions, consequences, to their actions ,and by the time they figure it out it is too late ! It must be nice to live in your ivory tower and pass your judgements even if they are right but for some they have no where to turn ,no family support, and they certainly don't have the financial wherewithall to support a child in a healthy manner , some have drug addictions, others are mentally unstable ...there is no doubt Safe Sex is a good idea but when you are young and horny overrun by hormonal screams for pleasure how thoughtful are you at that age? for pete's sake they all think they are in love and won't learn the difference for years !Until they have hurt and been hurt they won't learn (even if you tell them)
Do you have any idea of the bond you feel when a baby is born ? I doubt it ! you think adoption is an easy answer so you obviously are completely talking about a subject where your lack of experience is blinding your argument !
It's a miracle that blasts through any self doubt you may have about becoming a parent...it's the only true instant love there is in this world !
Cold Calculating people could possibly do it without therapy, but i think much like abortion the damage that it does is something you can never erase the pain of !

It's not a matter about whether abortion is right or the best choice, etc. It's a matter about someone's choice to decide for themselves what to do. I don't particularly agree with abortion as a means of birth conrtol, but I don't feel that I have the right to tell someone else what to do. Unless I would adopt that would be aborted baby, it's none of my business. I don't have to live with the consequences either way. I think it would be a good thing to place the baby for adoption, but every situation is different and you can't really say what you'd do in that situation. Having a baby is not without risks just as having an abortion isn't. I DO NOT think it should be illegal. I don't feel it should be up to the government , but up to the woman.

THANK YOU! FINALLY someone with a brain on this forum. You've said all the things i believe. If you thought you were mature enough to have sex, you should have been mature enough (and financially stable enough in my opinion) to handle the consequences. Which, actually now that I think about it, we often call a unplanned pregnancy a consequence, but there are many wonderfully ready parents, on a years long waiting list to adopt a baby, to the pregnancy would be a blessing. anyway, abortion IS killing. PLUS, (and im not trying to be insensistive when i say this but, millinois of people hate bush because a grand total of 2,200 or so men and women have lost their lives over in the middle east, but many liberals celebrate the chance to "supports a woman's choice" to kill her baby by sucking it through a vaccuum of blades, causing 1.3 million AMERICAN babies lives to be lost EACH YEAR! If even a fraction of those babies were allowed the chance to live and were in the middle east right now, those 2,200 live most likely would have been saved. chew on the confused liberals.

Have you ever had a suprise pregnancy while on birth control?
Have you ever been forcibly held down and made to have intercourse?
Have you ever seen a 12 year olds body who is pregnant and their hips are not wide enough to actually give birth?

I understand completely how you feel about abortion but for many people out there? Its not so much abortion as the ability to make that choice OR have that choice taken away.
I have two children and I understand what happens when you have a child. I wouldn't trade either of mine for anything. But I don't want my choices over my own body to be taken from me either.
And another point I would like to make? How many botched abortions are there nowadays? How many back alley abortionists using coat hangers and other utensils to help out some terrified female are there? As soon as it becomes illegal someone somewhere will set up shop and women will pay with their lives and their money to have it done.

ADoption is a terrible option too, 90% of children older than 5 never get adopted, and grow up without a family dynamic

I'm pro choice -- unless someone really decicded to do it!!

Academicly, it's easy to see that having a baby that can't be loved is wrong, or a child of rape or incest

but, actually terminating a pregnancy is sure to give a person nightmares for there whole life - it's killing a part of yourself

you see those commericals on TV of women that sit up at night thinking "what if"

I know a girl that had an abortion, she never said much about it - but everytime I see one of those commericals I think of how she must be feeling if she's watching it too.

abortion IS killing...infact a babys heart begins beating just 18 days after conception and after 40 days she has measurable brain waves.If you dont think abortion is killing I suggest you look abortion IN THE FACE for what it really is.
Learn about exactly HOW a abortion is performed,see the torn off legs with the countable toes,and the crushed skulls.Learn how nurses have testified to watching in horror when on the ultrasound the baby trys to "get away" from the insruments used to tear them limb from limb.
This might be hard for some to read but thats the very sad and horrible TRUTH.
Abortion is killing a very real and VERY ALIVE unborn child.
Not having an abortion is giving a somone a chance to live a life of the average of 70 years or more.(just like your mom let you have.)
BTW its not a "last result" it's a selfish one.There are millions of women that CANT get pregnant who our waiting right now to adopt a baby.while thousand of others our killing thiers because if "they cant have it no one can."
I work at a crisis pregnancy center and its amazing how many women talk about wanting an abortion and when I mention adoption say there is no way they could give their child away.
Okay lets see, you can let a Dr kill your child but it would be too heartbreking to give him away to another women?

I belive that you can abort if there are serious risks such as fetus growing in the fallopian tubes ETC.... Also I dont know about you guys but I would rather someone abort a child then have it starving to death because they cannot support it. I hear you all with the responsibility of having unsafe sex ...But hey it is 2006 and no teenager is responsible anymore.

I agree with you that abortion is wrong and it is murder, but unfortunately our society has made some women believe that this is an acceptable alternative to an unplanned pregnancy by convincing people that a fetus is not a human being and that it's better to abort a child you are not prepared to care for. Some men can be very cruel and insensitive when they are told that they may become a father. Some women feel so isolated and pressured into having one. So please don't be so quick to judge women who have made the choice to abort. Just pray for them.

I hate to see people having abortions several times a year, just because they hate to take the pill or guys hate to use condoms. how immature can that be? you prefer to kill a little human being first than actually have responsible sex? if I was God I would make people like that infertile (at least for a while) so when they really want to have a baby they can't, so that way they can see what is like to desire to have a baby and not being able to.

I 100% agree wiht you! I say its one thing if you have gotten raped though, i mean, i could never have an abortion but i can understand if a girl had one for that. But their are so many support groups and so much help out there for young mothers and adoption and everything else. Abortion is NOT the answer. I know girls that have done this more then once and until this day they see a child and think to themselves "mine would have been this age right now" and then get depressed. It is definitly not the answer. you do not want to get pregnant, KEEP YOUR LEGS CLOSED! lol
