Yes what kind of quack are you going to. I would not be going back to him if I was you! It's kind of funny though, what in the world was you thinking laying there why some doctor sang the hokey pokey while looking and examining you? I would have been in shock. That is in all reality totally unprofessional.

I would not say that it is wrong, just strange. If it bothers you I would suggest saying something to the doctor or finding another doctor. Getting a yearly vaginal exam is important to a woman's health so it is very important that a woman be comfortable with her physician.

Maybe the doctor was trying to lighten the mood in the room. Was there a chaperon present? Always trust your intuition someone told me long ago.

I guess there are no 'rules' around this sort of thing, but it sounds a little wacky.... especially since he is saying the word 'pokey'... i would certainly listen to your intuition about this situation!

I would be very uncomfortable with that. Listen to your instincts because you should go to a doctor that makes you comfortable, especially when they are examining that area.
