hiya, i also think its funny when someone trips over as long as they don't hurt themselves of course..an example being -my neighbour was in her garage sorting stuff out and i went in and asked if i could borrow something (can't remember what it was now) but any way she turned round to make her way back in to her house and tripped over something and went flying and we were both in fits of laughter :-)

I think we laugh in response to unexpected results. Such as, when the answer to a joke question is totally out of the ordinary. I suppose that someone tripping and falling is unexpected too, but I have too much sympathy for people when they get hurt and I don't laugh at them. The worst is those home videos shows where someone gets hit in the crotch, or goes flying off a trampoline or a snowmobile. I'm always afraid I'm witnessing someone getting seriously hurt. They bother me.

It breaks my heart to see some one get hurt. Now with your question it is when I lift anything heavy.EX: Trying to carry a pool table up 20 stairs, 6 months pregnant. I laughed so hard that my hubby got all the weight of the pool table and he couldnt hold it,it went sliding down all the stairs.
