Yes, there's nothing seemed wrong with your configure. You can get many good pop-up blocker program from the web, some of them are free of charge.
But I think the most inteligent way to block them is to keep distance from these trouble website. These advertisment businessmen is wantyou to see their pop-up window wwheather you like it or no, so they tries their best to find a way to get accrose from these blocker. so...
You can ues blocker to protect you from accident, but you cannot ues it to block them in these trouble website everyday...
i hope this can help you.
Good luck!
By the way, if you want to try a block program, Windows Blocker is the best. you can enable it in your IE by the following step: run your IE\ Tools\ Pop-up Blocker\ Enable; configure it as "Block all pop-up windows"

well the next best thing is to turn on ur pop up blocker on the high setting..just to tools and internet options at the top of ur internet window then go to the privacy tab and then click on settings that next to the check box and go to the filter level option and choose high: block all pop-ups
note: everytime u try to open a link u have to hold control while clicking on it to work..
this should block the pop ups
if this doesnt work i think you have the virtumonde virus...i had the same problem...
go here:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t...
install vundo fix and follow the directions....it worked for me
Hope this helps!

You should get Mozilla Firefox or Opera (which are both web browsers, just google the names). Or buy a Mac, their web browser Safari has the best popup blocker. I would know since i have a mac.

Go to your internet browser setting and enable popup blocker. I use Firefox so, even before I enabled popup blocker it was blocking better than IE ever did.

You probably have some Adware and MalWare on your computer.
Ewido Anti Malware has a free 14 day trial get it here > http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
Ewido does an excellent job of cleaning your computer. Update it then you should run the scan in Safe mode.
And also try using FireFox as your internet browser.

Popup blockers don't remove popup programs on your computer. The block popups that most sites want you to see.
Go here and follow the procedure and use the programs she suggests. She lists 2 Registry repair programs. Use the one for your OS when you are finished.
