since i am an ob/gyn i suggest that you wait because you dont want to harm the baby by too many ultrasounds, extra ones are only suggest when medical problems come up

They will probably order a ultrasound at 20 weeks anyway so I'd just wait. They should be able to tell by then if the baby cooperates.

they probably wont give you an ultrasound unless if they suspect a problem. at 20 weeks is when it is most accurate in telling the sex of the baby, so that is when most doctors will give you an ultrasound. but it wouldnt hurt to ask, i always loved getting ultrasounds, they are fun.

if you just want to find out the baby's gender, it would be best to wait until you're about 6 or 7 months along the way. You might just end up being disappointed if the ultrasound can't tell you the baby's gender at this time.

There are some things you could attempt yet as to how helpful they're i do not understand. Take 10000mg of fish oil on the on the spot and the following day then upload 1000mgs an afternoon after that up till 15000mg and proceed taking this quantity on a familiar foundation (my brother in regulation is a chiropractor and naturopath this comes from him) ideally you would have already been taking some fish oil, yet in case you weren't not in any respect concepts. you could also attempt employing some nighttime primrose oil on on your cervix (wreck open a pill) inspite of the actuality that he doesn't imagine that is as helpful because the fish oil, yet combining both gained't damage. Acupunture is yet another approach you may want to attempt. As someone stated earlier me please do not attempt castor oil, no count how undesirable you want your toddler to come back it isn't nicely worth endangering their existence. And if all else fails then perhaps that is nature's way, your drs would might want to set off you if it doesn't take position on that is own. good success and that i'm hoping this enables

You should ask your Dr if they will give you an ultrasound but they may wait until you are a little farther along. Sometimes they wait until 20 weeks. It just depends on the Dr. Who knows they may give you one tomorrow anyways.

Ultrasounds are normally performed at 20-22 weeks. Your doctor should be already discussing plans of pregnancy, including an ultrasound date, when you'l be taking your diabetes test, etc.

You can ask if you want to know the sex of your baby I've heard some can tell as early as 11 weeks, but 16 or over is best.

You wont be able to tell the sex of the baby until 20 weeks. Even then its not 100%. But they usually do one around this week anyway. Depending on your dr. they should be able to tell u what they think it is at this time. Good luck!

I didn't want to find out, but the doc accidently told us anyhow. In the long run, I am SO glad we found out. Having a baby is so exciting in itself. There aren't really any cute unisex clothes. It's fun to shop for your baby before he/she is born, and knowing what to buy makes it more fun. But the doc might not be able to see anything, so don't get your hopes up if he/she doesn't see anything. We found out at 16 weeks.
