Try to keep a calm presence the next time you are trying to pick him up. Animals can sense anxiety, anger, etc. and will react accordingly. If he bites, do not yell at the bird. A firm "no" and put him back into the cage. By modifying your behavior, your bird will react accordingly. Once they establish trust in you, then your bird be calmer. Also, check if there is anything in the room that might be frightening your bird. Good luck!

Have you tried sauteeing it? 10 seconds on a hot skillet will make him respect you. IM KIDDING.

Parakeets bite when they feel insecure or threatened. This one is either challenging you or thinks it has to defend itself. If you just got the bird home from the pet store, give it some time to adjust to its new environment. If this problem has beenongoing for months or years, then you could have a bird which is just untrainable.

yep - you can't - they bite
you can try hot sauce on your arm or wherever you opting to get bit, but their brains will prolly never make the connection, unlike a dog
