If you want a classic "teaser" try Charade circa 1963 it's got Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn the remake is alright...The Truth about Charlie but its more like inspired by Charade rather than a remake...
Even though it's not a movie rent Alias Season 1-3 and you get that drop-jawed riveted yet confused feeling!
and yes....it's memento

Hmmm... David Lynch's Mullholand drive isn't his best movie, anyway I reccomend you all of Kubrick's movies... If u want to get a glimpse of his way of making movies, start with Full Metal Jacket which is brilliant in my opinion, then Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned... and of course, a classic A Clocwork Orange.
My favorite director is Aronofsky so Requiem for a Dream it's a must and of course Pi...
Try Arizona Dream if you want to see Johnny Deep doing his best performance ever and Emir Kusturica's White Cat, Black Cat if you want to know a few things about gypsies...

attempt 30 days of evening. Why do not you watch the prequel "Blood Trails" on youtube. there are 7 2minute episodes. I jumped when I observed them so i HADDDD to work out THE movie. I observed it on IMAX. with a view to get that outcome you want to have truly tremendous sound even as gazing it on dvd because my take is like gazing the movie on the familiar theater demonstrate screen, the sounds not good so that you'll tell even as the obtrusive leap at you scenes will take position. in case you could p.c.. up each and each and every of the sounds (IMAX) with good audio equipment then you definitely will be SCARRRRREEEEDDDD. believe ME. yet another tremendous movie is extreme pressure. i imagine the actuality you ought to concentration on the subtitles makes you careless so that you're extra liable to being scared on the leap out scenes. The Mist and The Grudge and dogs infantrymen are good for those heart attack emotions. a number of those flicks I walked out of there like i had in simple terms gotten off a roller coaster. that is declaring lots b/c i do not get scared. check out the trailers on youtube. good success!!!

I saw once a great movie from Ingmar Bergman (old one!) which lasted about 4 hours. That was when Max von Sydow and Liv Ullman were young though.......a really old one.
"The immigrants" : a story of Swedes living their country to go to America and following generations. It was very poignant and not always easy to watch.......I don't know where you could get it now though.....I saw it on British TV a few years ago.
(before they invented IKEA !!) :-)
If you want something a little bit unconventional but based on facts......
"L'empire des sens" eh eh :-) . don't know the English title. Japanese movie.

Jacob's Ladder with Tim Robbins - very dark and confusing, you may need to see it three or four times to figure out what's really going on
Arlington Road with Jeff Bridges - is your neighbor really a terrorist?
Identity with John Cusack - very scary murder thriller

Why does everyone call it "Momento?" It's MEMENTO ....
If you like David Lynch and haven't seen more of his stuff, then Lost Highway and the Twin Peaks series and movie are both excellent choices to this genre.
