I have PCOS too, and am on Clomid also, trying for my second baby. I got pregnant the first time during the 2nd cycle of Clomid, and now my daughter will be 3 this month. Clomid really helps with people with PCOS since ovulation is rare without it, so chances are you might get pregnant within the next few months! I've heard that if it doesn't work for 6 months, then you'll need to try other things. Metformin (Glucophage), the diabetic medicine, I've heard, helps regulate insulin and hormones to help conception when Clomid alone doesn't work. I will try that if Clomid doesn't work within 6 months. Good luck! Let me know if it works!

I have pcos and fell pregnant after my first cycle of clomid, the second time I fell pregnant without any help after 11 months of trying-I think you have to give up and say oh sod it-we will neva have a baby and then when you start having sex just for the sake of sex you could fall pregnant--it happened to me-I had the clomid-was told I didn't produce any eggs and could not get pregnant-the following month I was-who knows but good luck, pcos women do have babies and I am sure you will too!
We are now discussing trying for a third!

Clomid didn't work for me-we tried for 6 years! The only thing that worked was metformin, it helped me lose weight and after about 10 months I got pregnant. After my baby was over a year, I got back on it and 4 months later I was pregnant again! Are your periods regular? Mine were not, so the metformin also regulated my cycle and helped me ovulate. Metformin is not a fertility drug, it is for insulin resistance which can stop you from ovulating. I also have a friend with PCOS who got pregnant using clomid, it took them two cycles-so keep praying and good luck! Check out the insulin resistant thing too!

It took me 6 years to conceive without any drugs. I've been trying for 9 months for a second child and nothings happening. I have heard good things about people getting pregnant with the clomid. I see a specialist in 2 weeks, my reg. Dr. said that the specialist may prescribe clomid. good luck

I have pcos as well and i tried for a baby for nine years. After years of trying i decided to give up and concentrate on my life with my husband. I put all thought out of my head about having a baby, and i was less stressed and more relaxed. Three months later i noticed my period was late. I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. I now have a wonderful 7 year old daughter. Good luck. Hope everything works out ok for you.

I have PCOS also and was taking Orthotricyclen lo when I got pregnant (I'm currently 39 1/2 weeks)! In other words, relax, you can still get pregnant. The stress of trying to conceive is probably what's making it so difficult. Let go and let God. My sister in law works in a fertility clinic and was having a hard time conceiving until she stopped stressing about it. She was taking fertility drugs and letting her life revolve around her best days of conception. She finally gave up. 1 month later she was pregnant (healthy 9 month old now). Best of luck to you. If you need to talk feel free to email me.

God won't help you, unless he's an expert on infertility!!!

I don't know what it is that you have but I will pray for you to get pregnant. You can always adopt and I think you and your hubby will make great parents. A baby is a baby...a precious baby. :) Good Luck

There is some evidence that the pill (don't know which one) can increase fertility in woman with PCOS.
