every time i try to drop a movie file into my iTuens library...the program says...'not responding' then says it has experienced an error and needs to close, what is the matter with it!? this problem just arose a week or two ago.

You have to convert the movie file to the mp4 format, which is the correct video format for video ipods. You can download a free video converter called Videora from www.videora.com. Convert the movie using this program and then open it up in iTunes. UPdate your ipod and it's on your ipod. It will be under movies, but you can change the location of that.
