I heard she might try to get a deal with a Nascar team because her Indy contract is expiring and no one is picking her up. I personally think she is over rated and over hyped.

I believe she is overrated, and if that's all I am going to hear if and when she comes, it'll be the worst. Besides, there are other drivers out there that deserve the position more than her. Ones that have been working with stock-cars. Anyways, I read something a couple days ago, where she said she couldn't handle the schedule.

Who knows.

I haven't heard that and believe it must be an ill-informed rumor. She's made more money for Indy Car than anyone else. Most casual racing fans had pretty much stopped watching. Now everyone wants to know how she's doing. So she'll have a ride for quite a while, at least while everyone's watching.

She'd have a harder time in NASCAR in part because of the weight handicaps. Indy Car doesn't make you weigh down your car if you weigh less than other drivers. NASCAR does.

She may be overrated and overhyped, but she's still pretty good. She's only two years in. She's done well for a rookie and sophomore driver. But she needs to win one soon.

Her contract with Rahal-Letterman runs out at the end of this season and it sounds like T.J. Patrick (her dad) is using the NASCAR thing as a ploy to get more money (from Rahal-Letterman) in a new contract. Also, I'm sure T.J. isn't overly happy that some of the spotlight in the IRL has shifted to Marco Andretti.
Interestingly, Danica hasn't won a race since her karting days; Marco had three wins last year in the Indy Pro Series.

Jack Roush has been talking to her about joining the Ford Team. I think it would be great for another woman to try her hand at racing the guys. She has the attitude to deal with the men. If she moves to Nascar, she is going to need a lot of work, Indy cars tracks are nothing compare to the Nascar tracks.

Danica Patrick to NASCAR...on 2007? Danica Patrick could become the next star driver to defect from another major racing series to NASCAR. "I'm trying to get her here [into NASCAR]," said T.J. Patrick, father of the woman who dazzled the motor racing world last year by nearly winning the Indianapolis 500, but has struggled with a mediocre Indy Racing League car ever since. T.J. Patrick, who has managed his daughter's career since her childhood, was at Chicagoland Speedway on Sunday, holding exploratory talks with some Nextel Cup teams and sponsors about the possibility of Danica leaving the IRL for NASCAR as early as next year. Her contract expires with the IRL's Rahal-Letterman Racing team, co-owned by TV comic David Letterman, at the end of this season. In addition to considering NASCAR, the Patricks are negotiating with other IRL teams -- and appear unlikely to renew with Rahal-Letterman next year. Bobby Rahal, co-owner of Rahal Letterman racing, declined comment through a spokesperson. Danica, 24, wasn't at Sunday's USG Sheetrock 400 NASCAR race. T.J. and Danica's mother, Bev, came to the Joliet track because "we've had some inquiries" from NASCAR teams, T.J. said. The Patricks were in the Nextel Cup garage area as guests of the powerful Roush Racing team, which fields five Ford teams.

Its not her fault shes over rated..., Shes a woman, she drives fast and shes hot. Shes only been doing this a couple years and she HAS been consistent,..more consistent than what most guys are in their first couple of years.I dont think shes leaving David Letterman , she has too good a thing going there with him and Rahal and I cant believe no sponsors are picking her up, that's nuts.Where did you hear all of this?? She will win.Do u realize it takes guys, some of the best who's ever driven an Indy car 6 or 7years to even COMPETE consistently let alone win their first one?

I think theres a few women out there who's a tad jealous and i dont understand.Unlike past women who's tried driving with the big boys , who LOOKED like men, and made fools of themselves cause they COULDN'T run with the big ones , this one can and does compete and she sureeeee dont look like a man,...

see link...OH YEAAAAA!!!! http://www.indymotorspeedway.com/danica.htm

I also had to laugh last year when some of the guys was complaning that since shes only 97 lbs its an unfair advantage for her cause it makes her car faster,..wah wah lol

I gotta believe unless she does go stock car racing that Rahal Letterman Racing has got to resign her. They have a ton of money and publicity tied up in her. Whatever happens, if she does wind up in a stock car, she's gonna have a steep learning curve and will get her butt kicked for a while. She's a good driver, but not exactly setting the world on fire. I don't know if she's overrated, but yes, she is definitely over hyped. Where's Sarah Fisher?

Realy she doesn't know if she will or not. It's actually more of her dad's idea. But I guess originally she didn't want to race in the IRL but she wasn't going for NASCAR either. So I think it would be AWESOME to see her race more but I'd rather see her happy then racing more! So whatever she does I still think it will be AWESOME! I think that she would do good in NASCAR and it'd be pretty cool to watch!

Hmm, I don't know. I'll root for her if she decides to join. We need some women in NASCAR!!! I'll still root for all my old NASCAR favorotes, like Tony Stewart....but yeah, I don't mind having Danica join. She's cool, she's a girl in a sea of dudes, and I hope the best for her.

Well, yeah!!! She hasn't won a single race yet. Okay she's runnin with the big dogs now but apparently she's having trouble keeping up...But now if you're asking me about women racing in NASCAR...ohhh how nice that would be. But I'm only 5'0" tall and barely weigh 130 pounds....So I don't think I'm exactly driving material.
