I got invited to this New Years Eve party very last minute. My husband had nice pants and a button up to wear, but we were so broke I had nothing in the closet but work clothes. Nothing.
But I had some fabric from before we moved. I really wanted to go to the party. It had been so long since we had done anything fun or classy.
So I made up a dress idea, but I had very little fabric. So I couldn't do a gored skirt or anything.
Basically I ended up in a bright green satin column dress with snow white type sleeves and an empire waist. It could have been pretty if I had enough fabric, time, notions. Enough anything. I had nothing to work with.
At least I didn't go naked. (Shaking my head) It was ....... about 5 years ago. I'm still not ready to "laugh about it" yet.

The absolute worst fashion mistake i've ever made was wearing MC Hammer pants! They were very big on top and straight-legged at the bottom! lol!

I'm color-blind. I was giving a professional presentation, when someone joked that I was wearing different colored socks. I made a joke of it, we had a good laugh, and that broke a lot of tension. It pays to keep a good sense of humor, and be able to laugh at yourself, and have someone with fashion sense to coordinate your clothes. ;)

for about 3 monthes i wore my hair in a ponytail on top of my head! it looked so ugly!
