When I say better I mean what side is more spectacular. Also is it worth visiting both sides? Thanks I'm planning my trip to Canada and East U.S.A. next year (in summer).

Well I am originally from Niagara Falls. My dad lives on the American side and my mom on the Canadian. There is a casino on the American side along with a bunch of slum apartment buildings, hookers and drug addicts. It looks like a scene from a war movie. There is absolutely nothing there. Now the Canadian side, that's a different story. Very nice. There are very nice casino's, hotels and restaurants. The popular hangout there is Clifton Hill which has a bunch of night clubs and shops. Don't even bother going to the American side, it will scare you.

The Canadian side is leaps and bounds above the American side. The American side has a much smaller view and allot less falls to begin with. The Canadian side is overwhelmingly considered better.

It's worth it to visit both sides, but the Canadian side is much better. Enjoy your trip :)

Canadian--prettier view of the falls, and much cleaner, although this is based on a visit in the mid-70s. I'm sure the view is the same, don't know about the other.

The cool Horseshoe falls is on the Canadian side. But I think, not sure but I think, you can get just as good a view of it from the US.

The view from Canada is a lot nicer you can see more.. also make sure you ride the Maid of the Mist or the Canadian version of this... the view is AMAZING..
