I'm trying to cut down on clutter, so I'd appreciate any advice. I'll say straight-off that the bible's a little too disorganized for me (no table of contents/index); I've heard the Kamasutra has all kinds of practical advice (not just about sex). Any suggestions?

I really like :

From Esther and Jerry Hicks

"Ask and it is given" and "The amazing power of deliberate intent".

I read them..........but too lazy to apply........so nothing happened LOL :-)). Deepak Choprah. Wayne W. Dyer and others......

BUT IF YOU INTEND TO TRAVEL ABROAD.........

I highly recommend :

"4,000 days" - my life in a Bankgkok prison - (Warren Fellows)

or

"The Aquariums of Pyongyang" ..ten years in the Noth Korean gulag byt Kang Chol-Hwan.

or "Gulag" (Russia) by Anne Applebaum.......:-)))

"Lost in Mongolia.".........Colin Angus

"Is Singapore in China , luv ?"......would have to find that book to name the author.....:-)

And all the other "culture shock" series......:-)

Right off hand, I'd say A NIETZSCHE READER...

It contains several selections from Nietzsche's major philosophical works and is presented in such a way as to give the reader a brief but thorough overview of this profound thinker. The selections and translations are by R. J. Hollingdale, and are divided into topics such as Philosophy, Morality, Psychology, Religion, Nihilism, Will to Power, etc... and is complete with a bibliography.

The books SUN TZU WAS A SISSY and WHAT WOULD MACHIAVELLI DO? are also somewhat useful, as well as very funny...

Bart Simpson's Guide to Life. Seems to work for me. Either that or The Classics of Moral and Political Theory 3rd Ed. by Michael L. Morgan

The Satanic Bible. A great book about putting yourself first, complete with a table of contents.

I don't think this is a real question, but here goes. The Kama Sutra does have advice on love, love making, courtship and such, but it's hard to follow, assuming you get a real Kama Sutra, and not a varriation. If I only had one book to live by it would be something with Batman in it.

The Bible is the only book to live your life by, It is hard to understand, but go talk to someone that understands it Like a preacher or a bible school teacher and get them to study with you.

Bible anyway. Just get a Concordance if you want an "Index" or get like a Thompson Chain Reference Bible (comes in several versions. I recommend NIV)- very organized and infromative.
