Definitely! A man and woman can do the exact same job, have the same experience going into the job, do the same tasks, etc, and the woman will be paid LESS than the man. This has happened for so long that no one has bothered to change it. It was men that came up with this idea. Now you know why it has stayed that way. Men are still the top respected in the working world.

And, see what happens when a woman takes a vehicle to an auto shop to be fixed!! The woman will get screwed over in a heartbeat, but the man that takes the same car in with the same problems, WON'T get screwed over. I had this happen to me when a car I had broke down. It needed a new transmission. When I took it to the shop, the guy quoted me an outrageously high price and said it would take a long time to get it done. When I took my then husband and his step dad in there with me, it was a different story: cheaper and wouldn't take as long to fix.

So, you tell me. Are women still less respected than women in this world? I say yes.

Well in very few rural areas of world women are still respected less then men and this is wrong but i don't know why u girls sometimes think themselves inferior then men and sometimes have a complex of being respected less?? But what i think is that men and women both must be respected equally

Yes, in many ways yes. It takes a lot more work and dedication to get the same respect as a man would. And there are still a lot of men out there wanting to oppress women.

Human equality and women's right's are gradually accepted,I think women's just need just a little bit of supports when it comes to sports because there are a lot of women better then men and women are more determined, motivated.well disciplined and dedicated to their own field! If that is what you observed in your exposures in you community, those are just pity things because some of men are so mean that tend to aggravate women! And women were just very modest and courteous! I respect most women because my mom is a woman as well as my sisters!

No, I don't. I believe, actually, that men are getting less respect now that women are becoming more powerful in the work place.
In my opinion---regardless of so-called status, men and women should be respected equally--isn't that the equality women shrieked for so long ago?

I don't think so, not around here anyway. I took a building construction class and I was respected by all. I did everything the men did and was just as good. I came highly recommended by the teacher. My good attitude about the class really helped me succeed!

Absolutely. A short stint in a 3rd world country will open your eyes if you doubt it. The majority of women in this world are treated as nothing but property and slaves.

generally speaking, the patriarchal idea that men are superior, and must be "obeyed" is still alive and kicking in fundamentalist religious views associated with the three "desert religions". beyond that we all know how things go in the far east, and even in other places. times are changing, but slowly.

is this a trick question? seriously, I think things are significantly better than they were when my mom was young, but there's no way things are equal yet.
for sure, many people give equal respect to women, but society at large has yet to complete the leap.

It depends on where you live. Some areas respect equality while other places still lag far behind. I won't mention names.
