everytime we use it for 3 mins, the microwave turns itself off and comes back on after about 10mins. We need to set the clock again. During those 10 mins, no power no display.

Sounds as though it may be over-heating and shutting down to protect itself. Make sure all the vent slots are clear to expel the heat that builds up inside the cabinet.

Select a lower power level then try it. Sounds like it's defective if there is enough power supplying the unit.

Try to change the fuse and see if that corrects it. Could be a short in a wire somewhere.
