not in every female's vocabulary, i barely use the word. i think it is mainly used by preps who can't really think of a better word and haven't heard of a dictionary

Because it's 'like' kinda a way to get the message across if we can't say it words.

because some have trouble getting across the message they want to express so 'like' is a way of describing something they can't say..
Also it's used to fill up space in a person's ramblings.....if they can't think what to say

It's an alternate word for duh....which doesn't sound as dumb. Maybe it does sound as dumb..........like ...duh how should I know?
