the best president we ever had was the president before we were born. i think the best president we ever had was F.D.R. he got us out of the Great Depression and we made alot of money during World War II.
Bush doesn't even come close. the 1 thing they had in common was that F.D.R. was a war President and Bush is a war President, just like his father. and i would not vote for a guy who favors the rich. I just wonder how many poor people voted for this multi-billionaire who helps out the few and ignores the majority
George W. Bush might have went to Yale, but he is, by far, no Rhodes Scholar, but Bill Clinton is, so who is the smart one between them two? and how did we get out of recession that George Bush Sr. put us in? Bill Clinton got us out of the recession, not President Bush

I am not an american, but as a foreigner I can answer your question.
With all due respect, I think he has been one of the worst presidents of the US, and some of the answers only requiere to look at how his government has acted in countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Serbia, etc. telling lies to the american people regarding the war in Iraq and the fight against terrorism in Afghanistan and even in your own ground, the US.
Unfortunately for the american people, Bush's administration has acted in order to fulfill the wishes and interests of the biggest military, oil and consruction and several other global corporations, fabricating wars on other countries, simply because those countries are not acting in compliance with US political and economic interests.

George W. Bush will go down in history as the dumbest, most incompetent president to ever occupy the Oval Office, to date.
Consider what he's done since 2000:
1. Illegally and unconstitutionally invaded a sovereign nation that in no way threatened, provoked or attacked the U.S.A. - and for only two iditoic reasons: 1) he wanted to 'finish' what his daddy started during Desert Storm, and 2) LimpDick Cheney wants all the OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands so he and his Halliburton buddies can get richer and richer and richer;
2. Massacred tens of thousands of Iraqi citizens for no justifiable reason;
3. Tortured 'detainees' without regard to the rules of the Geneva Convention, and looked the other way when prisoners were verbally, psychologically, emotionally, physically and sexually abused;
4. Initiated failed economic policies that will result in a severe depression right after Bush leaves office;
5. Neglected America's poor, disadvantaged, underprivileged, sick, aged, disabled, homeless and hungry while playing "Robin Hood in Reverse", stealing from the poor and giving it all to the rich elitists, lobbyists, special interest groups, and big business who - in turn - make generous (if not illegal) campaign contributions to keep the GOP in power;
6. Turned America into a police state wherein citizens are presumed guilty until proven innocent;
7. Tarnished America's reputation as a world leader and global peacekeeper;
8. Lied to the American public and leaked information to the press whenever it conveniently fit his agenda;
9. Dismantled environmental laws designed to protect and preserve the delicate ecological balance between human beings, plants and other animals so that we can survive;
10. Killed more than 2, 500 U.S. soldiers (so far).

In collusion with the most evil, corrupt, and incompetent U.S. Congress in history, the Bush administration has put American taxpayers TRILLIONS of dollars in debt, which will take generations to pay off (if we ever can). Meanwhile, since China is our largest creditor, it's only a matter of time before we max-out our national credit card, and China cuts our line of credit. Without resources to fund a military, the U.S.A. becomes a 'sitting duck' and China will simply come over and take our real estate, assets, weapons of mass destruction, all our oil and other natural resources, and military hardware. We will be reduced to a third-world country.
Think it won't happen? Think again!
Unless American put down the remote, get off the couch, and DEMAND our country back, corrupt politicians will continue to do whatever they damn well please on full instructions from big business and special interests. While 'common' citizens suffer, our politicians and 'fat cats' will keep sucking off the taxpayers' teat.
Thomas Jefferson once said: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." We are Constitutionally encouraged to bear arms against a tyrannical and oppressive government. If we don't do it NOW, next year - or ten years from now - might be too late.
We're like lobsters languishing comfortably in a pot of lukewarm water. Only when the water starts to boil will we start screaming in agony over our own apathy. But then it will be too late.
George Bush is by far the VERY WORST president ever in the history of this country. His superiors, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld, are the height of wickedness.

Oh, yeah. Bush is the best. I absolutely love Bush. He is my hero. African-American people probably love him, too, because of his EXTREMELY FAST response to Hurricane Katrina. I remember a few months ago a small band of U.S. soldiers interviewed in Iraq. Some guy just went ballistic and started praising Bush. He praised Bush so much that they turned the camera off and took him away while there was a "technical difficulty" on the t.v. screen. (I am sarcastic).

I beg your pardon? Define a great president, and then I can give you an answer. If you mean the best that was taught to us by Webster's English Dictionary, then you're looking in the wrong synonym in definition to bad. Y'see, when we say bad, it's not the slang version we mean, it's the original definition. Do us a favor, step away from the weed, turn off the Fox News, and double check your Thesaurus in, let's say, 5 minutes?

If anything, he's one of the worst presidents we have seen. The war in Afghanistan and Iraq, how he handled hurricane Katrina and 9/11. If you actually think he is a good president, you haven't been paying much attention these last few years.

Yes Indeed! I think that Bush is the best president we ever had in screwing up our shaky economy, in spying on us as dictators do, in violating our constitution, in allowing giant oil companies to cheat us, in making our reputation the worst all over the world...should i keep on? did you get the blurry ugly picture Bush painted for us?
