I also know I can get bashed here (but I don't care to be honest with you)..blah blah. Many presidents before Clinton did "things" -- and I truly believe that the press ran with his sexual encounters with Monica L. BUT we did not put the others down and don't put the ones down who have died before we existed although there is history telling us this information. What is the most stressful job? Probably being the president but you also need to do a good job!! Or people will hate you/your country(Bush). I STILL have more respect for Clinton than Bush. Bush has hurt us/Clinton helped us. What are your thoughts? Am not on here in p.m. too often so may get different people to answer this. Yes, Bush has HURT OUR FAMILY IN A PERSONAL WAY. Not regarding the war (the personal stuff). He's hurt a LOT of people - little RICH guy who doesn't know anything else except but having $$/being spoiled.

a tiny p.s. -- Clinton didn't want that to go public. Guess what? That kind of stuff goes on every single day. Presidents are human too....and I don't recall Clinton being arrested for the "brutal rape" of anyone. Are we profiling here? Bush has raped US ALL.

And Bush will be fondly remembered in about 6 or 7 years. I guess you forgot how hated Clinton really was. He was the one who had the streets around the White House closed because he had so many death threats. He signed NAFTA into law and the jobs have been leaving America ever since. It became normal under his term for people to start working 2 or 3 jobs to make ends meet. His lack of response to attacks on America contributed to the 9/11 attacks.
Paying on the deficit was about the best thing he did. But his administration was not all wine and roses as some people remember.

Well, I was going to list some of the treasonous reasons. However, the other people did that. I know that people say "Why should I care what he was doing behind closed doors?" Because he was the President. If he didn't want the world to know what he was doing (well really Hillary didn't), he should never have become President. Taking on that job means giving up your own life to work for the American people. It is a 24/7 job. I just have to say that it worries me when women state they like him or thought he's a great person. Have you all forgotten that he has brutally raped at least 2 women? Also, to answer a question of "Why did you do it?" with "Because I can", it shows he is a sociopath.

Well if you think a high stress job excuses lack of morals, lying, and infidelity in the White house, then of course dear old bill should not be ostracized. This is my problem with Clinton. He made a whole generation think those three thing are okay. May you enjoy them in your marriage. You don't think clinton has money? Do you think all that money we got when he sold our technology to china went to the poor? The clintons are very wealthy, so don't understand the comment in regards to the Bush's money. Clinton himself said he did those thing "because I can". Yeah.....that's not selfish or spoiled at all. I think you would be wise to look in the mirror to see what sent you off on the questionable moral road you are on.

I personally respect Clinton a LOT more than bush. Clinton managed to get our check books balanced, which i assume is a very big thing since we are natural born spenders. but with in 5 years of the bush administration, bush has managed to spend so much!. in the war, right now, we spend about $9 million a minute! that's billions every day! which by the way, all of this $ is coming from china. over all in the war, since day one, if we were to spend a million dollars a day, we would have to start 3,000 years ago in order to come up with how much we have spent. if you believe in Jesus, that's a thousand years before he was born! I seriously hate bush and cant wait to send him out of office! for all i care, he can go to hell! oh wait...he vacations there, opps.

People will always bash the previous president. Though one day people will highly regard him in a positive light.
The truth is, it doesn't matter how bad somebody does a job, as the years pass they will eventually be remembered for the one great thing they did.
Look at Regan, he is heralded as the one who brought about the end of the cold war, despite the problems with the economy during his time. Kennedy was another example, how he dealt with the Cuban Missile Crisis was another, despite speculation that he was brought into power through illegitimate means and was a womanizer.
One day, George Bush will be remembered for bringing democracy to the middle east, assuming it ever succeeds over there. If it doesn't succeed over there, he will be remembered for another successful act he preformed during his two terms.
Clinton was a great president, he did his job well, and it makes me sick when people tarnish his credibility by taking shots at his personal life... it is my great opinion that the only things the American people need to know about their president, is in regards to their job, not their personal life.

I'm not sure what your question is but I would agree with you that the presidency would be the most stressful job. It would be tough running an entire nation with a great amount of people not agreeing with you.
Now if you are saying GWB is a bad president then you are entitled to your opinion and I won't argue with you but I would like to give you my opinion.
First, GWB was given a very difficult time to be president. 9/11 changed everything. Some hard decisions had to be made about how our country was going to deal with the threat of terrorism. I think GWB gets way to much blame for the war in Iraq. Remember that every intelligence agency in the world thought Saddam Hussien had stockpiles of WMDs. Our congress voted overwhelmingly (Hillary Clinton and John Kerry included) to send our troops to Iraq along with 50 other countries. The Clinton administration is quoted many times saying that Saddam and his WMDs were a "clear and present danger" to the US and its allies. Bill Clinton and Madeline Albright to name a couple. All Bush did was take this same belief into his administration. What happened when we didn't find what we, the Clinton administration, and the rest of the world believed was there? They started finger pointing. Then they used it as a failed political weapon and called GWB a liar for telling the same "lies" they were telling. That to me is despicable. Instead of taking personal responsibility they tried to blame one man for their own failures.
Back in the 90's I was a stounch democrat and Clinton supporter. I thought the country needed a change and change it he did. First he gutted the CIA destroying our much needed human intelligence programs. He said technology will take its place. He froze annual cost of living raises for our troops twice yet he and congress took no pay cuts. Then he downsized our military to nearly half of what it was and gave us twice the workload for less pay. I was one of them. How do you think Clinton got the budget "surplus" the dems brag about all the time? We then went into Somalia and when we took casualties, he pulled us out without finishing the job because of his failed policy. He made us look like cowards with no resolve to see the mission through. Now Somalia is a radical islamic haven. The Monica L scandal was it for me. I could not support a man that boldly lied to the American people and the grand jury. Playing games with words just to snake out of the situation. Remember, Bill Clinton was impeached for perjury and obstruction of justice. That is a matter of congressional record. He then failed to handle N. Korea when he had a chance and now we see the results of his bungling.
Our politicians have failed us for over a decade yet one man is singled out for the failures of many. Yes, he is Commander in Chief and he should take the responsiblity but you can blame many more.
At lease Bill Clinton supported the GWB for sending troops into Iraq although he questioned the timing. "Bush 'couldn't responsibly ignore' the chance Iraq had WMDs" Why? Read it for yourself. Check out the CNN link below.
Clinton was a great president? Think again jxy, rocco, skittles, and Ron O.

That one answer about President Clinton "starting" bin Laden is WRONG. Bin Laden got his start with support from President Reagan and the first President Bush when he was fighting the Soviet Union's occupation of Afghanistan. The US gave bin Laden's movement arms and training. President Clinton had absolutely nothing to do with bin Laden except trying to kill him. President Clinton was a great leader, a great President, it is totally sick when people ignorantly or from evil motives try to assassinate his character.
