The hat seems to be VERY old and my uncle gave it to me brfore he died I never found out what player wore it and I wanted to know if there was any way to find out

I don't know how to tell how wore it, but if you put it on e-bay, you can find out what it is really worth. Now keep in mind, there are two types of worth. The book value, and what people will actually pay. If you have an item in an action, where a lot of people want it, then the sky is the limit. Screw book value. good luck

Good question... I don't know. Are you sure your uncle got it from one of the New York Yankee player's? I would love to know if you find out...let me know, please.

I guess try and contact the Yankees somehow and ask.
