Culture is flowing in the internet. A cult becomes culture as the majority follows. Home movie theaters are an invisible church growing inside every home. To not have cable connection is to be an outcast today. History, religion, morality and health are fully accepted on the video screen. No one can reach us unless it is by technology.

I wouldn't say "no one can reach us" without technology but by far one can reach more people via technology. You can find programming on every possible topic you can conjure up. All the reading you can do in your home you can do online. I still buy books but for pleasure but for "information" I go online. I love the ease with which I can look up the answer to any question that pops into my mind. It's like a microwave oven, once you have one, you can't live without it.

I am not clear on what your question is.

Movies are not religion, but we do shape our lives to what we're seeing on TV. Life imitates art.

A few of us do still have the courage to go back. I'm looking at selling my fancy suburban home to move to a small farm (probably no TV), so when I have kids I can raise them properly. I believe in quality time.

You choose to have the technology in your home....you also have the choice to not have it. And as far as being unreachable except by technology.....dear you need to get out with some real people...get away from the computer it is NOT your friend. I am reached in real person by my husband, family, friends, etc.
