I think the best thing to do is to start putting your spouse first- and think of their feelings first. If you are more concerned about the other person- communication will be easier. As long as there are no outside factors such as addidtion, abuse, adultery, dishonesty- that kind of stuff.

We don't bring men and women to do anything with regards to their own communication and relationships. The only one you get to work on is you. If you're a parent you get to try to influence your children. If you're a counselor....well, that's been eliminated by the last two words in the question. As appealing as it is to try to change other people, it just won't work, and it's intrusive and annoying, besides.

Men and women will come to communicate effectively in relations when they see their preceding generation (namely their parents) communicating effectively in relationships. Until then they will need the help of counselling.

Have them date a lot of people and meet a lot of people and interact so they can understand the differences for themselves.

It's called talking. And then again, sometimes it's best to remain quiet.

You can start by not matching up total opposites. Opposites really do not attract.
Start matching up with compatible partners.
eHarmony gaurantees it!
