I remember this show about a wizard (or a magic-wielding man) from medieval times who travels to present day and befriends a boy. I think the older gentleman who played the wizard looked like Wilford Brimley but it wasn't him. They shared adventures and solved problems. Please help if you have any details about this show. This has been bugging me for years! Thank you.

Dang it! shazam was the name of the show, and Billy Batson was the name of the young boy ,i will keep thinking of the wizards name Billy's mentor.
