I haven't forgotten. Maybe some are motivated by racism but the vast majority is genuine concern four home and country. Its been said a thousand times on here but its "illegal immigration" at issue not "legal immigration" although the process of legal immigration does need some change as well. My experience is that racism knows no color and if you believe the racist comments come from whites only, you haven't been paying attention.

I hope you can join me in helping to educate others and to encourage positive change in our immigrations laws without succumbing to the nastiness engaged in by others.

No, bro. You're not crazy at all. I feel exactly like you do. White do not get to define racism - the victim is the one who knows what racism is and isn't.

So-called Americans have conveniently forgotten that they decimated the native people in their own land.

I hear no whining about white immigrants, yet most 'legal/illegal' immigrants came from Europe.

They academically promote their own ancestry and culture as being the norm, but begrudge all other races a month or a day of recognition. (Refer to the number of negative questions about African American month).

The biggest recognition American Indians have is their art hanging in every state museum or South-western style home furnishings that use Indian utilities such as handwoven rugs and baskets or pottery. And even then - white discuss the art without actually giving credit to Native peoples.

Some see these actions as benign. I see it as the ultimate form of racism. It's the final nail in the coffin when they steal not only tangible items but your culture and spirit too.

Then they have the nerve to say racism ended in the 1960's because a few new laws were implemented!. Laws that they will try to overturn as soon as more republicans are installed in key positions.

I totally agree. The same thing happened in Australia. It's very depressing. And now the white people have a hide to say who can and can't come into our country (immigration etc). How wrong. I wasn't even taught Aboriginal history at school (and I didn't go to school all that long ago), all the atrocities and stuff were hidden from us. Very shameful that we were never taught the truth. And it's not like it happened millions of years ago, only 200.

The same reason backs and other races scream racism each and everytime something doesnt go their way! Whites are NOT the only racists in this country. Its a damn shame there is ANY racism at all but there is and we should all do our best to get over it and live our happy little lives. BUT its just as bad with blacks against the whites

I'm pretty sure most white and other Americans know that the native Americans were displaced. Many of them simply don't feel it is terribly relevant or helpful in their day to day lives. Just because someone holds different values or priorities we should not assume that they're ignorant.

No, we didn't forget that thousands of Indians were exterminated. And if immigrants don't learn to obey the law, we may see some exterminations occuring again.

You are not crazy! There are lots of ignorant sh*t heads, but not necessarily white.

I currently live in a part of the country that is a hot-spot of the "white supremacist" movement. I'm not white, and people are nasty.

You seem to think the land was "given" to the indians by their god.

Most Americans welcome immigrants. Many Americans just don't like illegals invading the country and breaking our laws.

Sounds like you have a problem with "white" people.

Read this best answer that I posted. I'm not racist but there is an evident problem with immigration that needs to be addressed. But yes, most people are just parroting rhetoric when talking about national issues and you are right, most are ignorant hypocrites
