I did a search using the keywords "sew purse pattern". Over 10 pages of sites came up. Of course there were several that wanted you to buy patterns but there were quite a few that had free downloadable or printable patterns on the site. Here are a few of them.

My friend makes purses She used the pattern books,like Simplicity, McCalls, at the fabric stores. They are really cute, she knows how to bead them, too.

Have you looked at Craftster - it's my favorite place to see unique designs that others have done. They also have alot of reconstructed items made into purses.
