Carefully, white shoes are dyed, you'll get the coloring too !
Try a sparse amount of windex or oxyclean spray on a sponge.
You can get "tougher" on the back of the shoe where it does not show up so much, but careful not to take the dye off the top & front.

I don't know if this would work, but the Mr. Clean magic eraser takes scuff marks off of floors, walls and anywhere else. :)

there are also white erasers ( like pencil artists use) that take off some scuffs well,

Try a cleaning product called Goo Gone. You can get it at Walmart. If that doesn't work try this stuff called LA's Totally Awesome. The name is corny, but it really works. You can get it at the Dollar Tree, believe it or not...Good Luck!
