Why don't the Muslim leaders take a stand against what the fundamentalists are doing? The only conclusions non Muslims can make is that the clerics want the terrorists to succeed.

The point is that today we do not have a single LEGITIMATE Muslim leader. All are product of post-colonialism and have been posted by their overseas masters, look at Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Gulf countries - all rulers are relatives or children of al-Saud who himslef was not even Muslim, he was a Jew from Nejd neighborhoods.
In a such situation what kind of Muslim leaders You can talk about? An UN and US double standards regarding Middle Eastern issue is more than surprising - there was not a single international sanction against Israel or United States in response to their sometimes anti-Muslim politics. So, why here Muslims should do something? How about West and these tax-payers who elect dictators?

why do not UN and whole the world take an action toward Zionist (Israel) TERRORISM against innocent Palestinian people specially kids? u put the word TERRORISM as a main keyword for ur question,so u r supposed to talk about all the fundamentalists (including Zionists) and (Serbians) who terrorized the innocent people and committed many horrible war crimes and some of them still believe in cleansing Muslim Bosnians from their home land just because they r not Christians. Is not this a sort of terrorism? obviously it is. Terrorism have no identity or religion!! but in the west some people (meanly) associate the world terrorism with Islam and use it to hurt others feeling and ruin their reputation and as a human being whose religion is Islam I do take this as a serious premeditated offense against human and so it is. double standard and stereotypes are the 2 major problems of some people which just make this world worse place.

Kritikos has hit the nail on the head. A lack of separation between religion and state is at the root of a lot of the problems in the world, now and historically. Sadly, it seems that the leaders of predominantly Muslim states make more of an attempt to distance themselves from it than George W Bush does. Remember, God told him to invade Iraq...
