Absolutely.

But even more by the US attempting to discredit the UN then afterwards failing in all areas of foreign affairs. The world's loss of faith has left them all feeling like rogue states with no voice... you see this now with a lot of countries like Israel and Russia beginning to do their own thing not caring what anybody else thinks.

What will settle this down is a new world leader stepping up to the plate and taking over our role as world negotiater. We are seeing this happening now with China taking over negotiations with N.Korea. The world has no faith in us any longer. The sooner we get him out of there, the better. We need to vote in a democrat and send a signal to the rest of the world that Bush did NOT represent the beliefs of the American ppl.

It was not an entirely false pretense. And even though credibility goes up and down, we may find in 10 or 20 years that what has gone on was exactly necessary to help the younger generation grow in an environment that was more conducive to the development of leadership qualities and strong families, where people were not jailed or killed or persecuted unfairly. Have a happy day!

I think the credibility of the US has been damaged by invading Iraq. The fact that we invaded Iraq, but have been ignoring human rights abuses in other parts of the world, pretty much sums up that we want a friendly puppet in an oil rich part of the world.

At the end of the Cold War, the United States emerged at the predominate world power. There was a window of opportunity where we could have used our position to lead the world into a new age of co-operation and help solve the world's problems. Instead, we allowed the greedy jingoistic elements of our political system to assume leadership and they, in turn, decided to try to rule the world. The world doesn't like that.

The USA gets a bad rap if we help or not.If we do we are bullies,if we don't we are asked why we didn't do something and of course for all the ignorant Clinton lovers out there it must all be President Bush's fault. He started all the wars in this country don't you know.Everything is all his fault from the Towers being hit to Hurricane Katrina. He caused it all acording to THEM!
Our country will always be blamed for something until they need our help. And lets not forget it must be all his fault for so many illegal immigrants being here he must have invited them but is now the bad guy for trying to get them to go through legal channels.Yeah--that must also be all his fault.

Nope, remember, most of the world had the same intelligence from their own sources and agreed with us.

The rest of the world likes to take pot shots at the US untill they need something from us. Since we lend so much money and give out so much aid, I doubt we will be effected by Iraq.
