How would you rate Porto, Portugal as a travel location?

We're looking for an affordable place in Europe to travel.

I can tell for sure Porto is the best city to travel. It's cheap, we have nice beaches, wonderfull river, hot... There's nothing missing.
The best night in Portugal it's in Porto.

I've never been to Porto, but the Portugese are super friendly people. I've heard great things about Porto and can't wait to travel there myself.
