I have had mine for 5 years now.
I feel bad thinking this, but I thought it would have died by now.

Guinea pigs can live to be anywhere from 3-8 years depending on how well you take care of them. I have one currently that is about 5 and she is very healthy. Make sure they get a good guinea pig diet and supplement their diet with vitamin C by giving them fresh oranges. They also like apples and carrots. Timothy Hay is very healthy for them to get their ruffage.

With proper care they can live to be 7- 8 years old.
Carrots are bad for piggies. I don't know why people insist to telling people to feed their piggies carrots, it can easily cause kidney problems and fatty liver disease. The web below is an excellent web for piggie care. I have five that range from 6 to 6 1/2 years old.

An average guinea pig lifespan is from 4-6.

Your guinea pig is very well kept! ^^

If you worry too much, you will ruin the 'last' moments of its life worrying when it is still living.

When it DOES die......it will be VERY VERY sad but you can still remeber the moments AND the happy ones that you spent with your guinea pig.

I hear they live a few years, but it seems like they tormet their owners with that awful squeaking for an eternity.
