You can train woodchucks, also called groundhogs, to eat dry dog food from a bowl. They will even become accustomed to coming into the house but their claws wreck the furniture and floor.

Trap your groundhog in a livetrap. Use the dog food mixed with peanut butter. Take him across a river so he won't come back near your property. You are welcome.

Seal off all entry routes into your yard... look for holes and fill them up with dirt and rocks...pour cement in them, cover with chicken wire and fencing.
In any garden store you can buy a "bomb" that you light and stick down in the holes to kill them with poisonous smoke. Not recommended if next to a house or flammable things though. And you need to figure out where the other side of the hole is so you don't smoke out your neighbors. A live trap would work. You can also get a dog, a big one like a German Shepherd -- ours has killed many woodchucks. Oh, finally - I heard that pouring liquid laundry detergent down their holes really bugs them and gives them diarrhea. good luck.. woodchucks can be real pests and devastating to a garden.
