Bush won't end it. He'd lose face. Sylvia Browne thinks the next president will end it. lol
But I think as long as so many Americans believe we should get involved with other peoples' politics and provide policing to other countries, more dishonest presidents will get away with wars like this. The war will end when we get law makers in office who keep our tax dollars, jobs, people, soldiers, aid, policing, etc in this country. Now that would be a great president, legislator, congressperson. I hope I live to see the day when the people in our country come before politicking around the world.

No, here is how it will go, after Bush leaves office, Hillary will be president in '08, then in 2016 George P. Bush will become president, marry Chelsea Clinton and they will form a new breed of Republicrats who will rule the world untill the end of time.

The next president will have to straighten out the mess that Bush has put us in. I hope it will be a democrat as this repuglican thing has got to stop. To many lives have been lost already for a war that was started based on a lie.

First question, I don't think so. According to MILITARY experts we will have to be there for at least one generation. Will we leave Iraq to allow them to self destruct? Maybe, but that will not "end" the war. So I guess it comes down to what you define as "ending the war".
Second part...what if it is Jeb Bush? God save us all. (Actually he is a great governor far better than W...but I've had enough Bush for a while...I mean of the political family, the other kind I enjoy everynight)

The next president, if he/she is, as I hope, a Democrat, will unfortunately, have to "end the war" the same way we "ended" it in Vietnam - that is, pull out our troops, wish the "ruling party" luck and wave good-bye as the copter ascends.
I was in Vietnam, USMC 1963-67, Chu Lai, 1965-66 and I spent over 20 years in the Middle East, leaving in 2003. I knew when they invaded just what a mess it was going to turn into because, when you're fighting in a land where 90% (or more) of the population either strongly dislikes or hated you, and where there are an unlimited supply of whackos, there is no way in hell that you're going to "win."

I don't see the terrorists giving up before Bush leaves.
Remember after 9/11 Bush warned us that this war on terror will last many years.

No, the next President will not end the war. They will get into office and allow the military to carry out their objectives.
I also predict that president, will be Hillary Clinton.
I'm not saying I am voting for her, but that is my prediction.

If Bush wants the GOP to win in '08, HE had better end the war.
