As gay and lesbian people, we all come out at our own speed and to the degree we see fit. Some folks stay in the closet their entire lives, others are open very early. Some never come out to their families, other do, but not at work.

Your friend, if indeed he is gay, needs to decide this for himself. Your insistence that he should fess up may very well be frightening to him.

Are you wanting to date him? You could tell him if you did, and he could then choose whether to come out to you, or not. If he's your friend, and you don't have a romantic interest in him, enjoy him for what he does share with you, and leave his sexual orientation for him to figure out when he's ready.

Are you gay? how long have you known this person? Hell come out when hes ready. If youre gy he may just be shy and nervous. Also he may be afraid that if he comes out to you then youll think he wants you. If youre gay, just bring up your sexuality and the issues youve had to deal with he may have something interesting to say.

if youre not gay, mind your own business. He probably wouldnt tell you because he doesnt want you to be judgmental.

Hey,

I'm sorry, but if you're looking for support to force him into admiting it, you're not much of a friend. Trust and support is the key to any friendship. He will tell you in his own time, if in fact there is anything to say. All you can do is let him know that you're mates and that if he would like to tell you anything, he is able to without question or judgement.

You can't "make" anyone do anything. If you demonstrate that you're receptive and accepting of gay people, he might feel more comfortable talking about it if it's true.

Truth be told though, you sound pretty aggressive about knowing. What's going on there? WHy's it such a big deal?

Are you interested in him if he is Gay?
Will it destroy your friendship if he is Gay?
If you answer to no to both questions, then I say that you are probably curious then.
Take him aside, and calmly ask him if there is something that he would like to talk about, just to get it off his chest. If he says no, then let it go.
Just be warned that what you might hear might not be what you are expecting.

I do not think you can make him admit it. He will tell you in his own time and when he is ready. Just be there for him and listen when he does.

Why are you forcing him to admit that he's gay? Are you gay? Think about this question you put up. Okay. Afterwords talk to him about it.

mind your own business.
Now, if you have him in mind as a possible sex partner, that is another matter.
Other than that you really should mind your business, and let him mind his. What kind of friend are you anyhow, to post something like this (presumable) without his consent or knowledge?

Why are you trying to force it out of him? What does it matter? Let him come out on his own time (if in fact he is gay) Don't push it.
