I've been teaching online classes for many years now and can tell you that the only real difference between classroom and online, whether it's graduate or undergraduate level is the format for instruction.
However, from a personal standpoint, I would lean more towards classroom instruction. Why? Because you have the benefit of the instructor being right there live. He or she can walk you through things, more effectively use handouts and current events.
Now don't get me wrong, online learning does work, and I've had plenty of students praise me for how well I've run them. But given the choice between in-class and online learning, I personally prefer in-class.
But the most important thing in choosing graduate school is picking a good and legit one. Reputation carries clout.
