I'm fascinated with the psychological makeup of an individual who would make such a comment on this forum.
1. It is not a question. Your lack of understanding of the "Y!A" format indicates immaturity. Perhaps you've seen chat rooms and special interest groups where much of the dialog is Q & A, but other comments such as "mama hit me with the spoon!!!?" are also common. Y!A is not such a place.
2. So what? Perhaps your psyche will receive pleasure and a feeling of vindication if there are a plethora of "answers" that indicate mama's should not be hitting people with spoons. I believe you are not finding that. Consider your crime and learn from the punishment.
3. You are obviously moderately cognizant of the English language: capitalization is nonexistent, but your spelling is correct (which is noteworthy here). Your punctuation is curious - there is obvious surprise and possible anger indicated in the four exclamation points, but you've ended with a question mark. Is this an attempt to justify the statement as a question, or perhaps a questioning on your part of your mama's motives? The question mark does dual duty in these two senses, leaving us with perhaps a bit more sympathy to your plight. Or so you hope. Alas, it's not working.
Since you do have a moderately capable grasp of the language, we must conclude you have some degree of maturity - perhaps you are a young teen, or a precocious child of between 8 and 12, and possibly older. If this is correct, we have to balance this with the norm of spoon-whacking punishments being more appropriate for younger, less mature children. Why would a somewhat mature individual be hit with a spoon, and, even more puzzling, why would he or she request comment on this on Y!A?
The most probable answer is that this is a joke. I would guess you were in fact hit, but more as tongue-in-cheek castigation than true chastizement. You answered "Don't do that, or I'll tell everyone on Y!A!" Mama struck you again; hence the post.
A quote from the web site referenced below is insightful: [In the past, studies into spanking have been inconclusive. Those researchers who initially opposed spanking found that it was dangerous and ineffective. Those who initially supported spanking found that it was safe and effective. This is fairly common in such studies: the researchers' original opinions tend to be confirmed by the data that they collect.]
Personally, I think if you're whining online you're probably a brat, I hope mama continues the corporal punishment.
