It is good to open car doors for women, not only for the first date but for the long run?

Absolutely. I'm all for equal rights and equal pay and protection from domestic cruelty, but when women decided it was "chauvenistic" to open doors for women, we lost one of the best things we had going for us.
When a man opens a door for me, I feel like he respects and appreciates me as a woman. Men don't open doors for us because they think we're too weak and incapable to do it ourselves - they do it because they are polite. I will teach my son to always open doors and allow women and elderly people to pass through first.

I think it's mostly a lost art...but sure, I like it when a guy does that, it just sort of shows that he's respectful of you, actually the few guy friends that I have actually do do that, so I guess there are some "good ones" still left!!!
