Studies show that people value the information they have, and discount the importance of information they dont have. So when someone has a little information, they overestimate the importance of it and think they have the information necessary to post a valid answer.
People hate to admit that they do not have enough information to form an opinion or have an answer to a question. The ancient Greeks believed that the sun was the flaming chariot of Apollo treking across the sky. Why didnt they just admit that they simply didnt know what the sun was? Because humans like to think they have the answers! (Similarly, many people today believe that a god created the big bang. Why cant they admit that they dont know what caused the big bang? Just human nature I suppose..)

Some people just think they know everything so they must tell you even if they really know absolutly nothing.
Others are just bored and have no life or hobbies.
Other heard the comercial that said you could win stuff for answering questions so the answer every question they come across just at the hopes of getting something or being "cool".

Well, we all like to think that we have the right answer. Sometimes we're even taught the wrong answers by parents, grandparents (big source there), and by teachers. Other times, the simple explanations that we are given (even in college) do not hold up when we examine them more closely. But if everybody knew the answers to everything, the world would be pretty boring.

Because it's a forum where they can without knowing what they're talking about. I would seriously hope though that the people with serious questions not rely on these anwswers because you're right, some people have no idea of the right answer.

People will answer with the knowledge they have. An educated person will give a more knowledgeable answer than an un-educated person. But, each, within their sphere of knowledge, will think they gave the best answer. Our job is to cypher the wheat from the chaff and chart our own course. Savvy?
