sorry to say but spotting a little blood is normal. but if you are bleeding heavily, i would check it out in the doctors office, you could be having a miscarriage...

It is not normal to have a period while pregnant, however it does happen. Is the bleeding light or heavy? Usually the only normal bleeding is spotting (light bleeding) or implantation bleeding but now that you are eight weeks along you should be a little concerned. Definitely see a doctor immediately. This could be a miscarriage. Do you have pain or cramping? I have heard of women having a "period" during pregnancy but you never know until you consult a doctor.

If you are spotting it is completly normal. If you are bleeding RED bright blood then more than likely you are miscarring. I have been there and it is a scarey sad thing. You don't need to go to the dr unless you are filling a pad every hour. You will cramp very bad an d pass huge clots, this too is normal. If you aren't passing clots go to the hospital b/c u may need a dnc. a surgical procedure where they scrape the placenta away from the uteris and you pass it. If not you could get an infection... so be cautious.
Prayers are with you. if you need some support let me know

A woman cannot have her period when pregnant. What you are experiencing could be spotting (which happens sometimes in pregnancy), bleeding due to an abnormality in the pregnancy, or bleeding due to a miscarriage.

Whatever the cause, it's important that you get check out by a doctor or midwife right away to put your mind at ease.

God bless you!
