I think they are age spots, but if they grow or change you should check with your doctor because it could be cancerous.

Your husband probably does have what is sometimes called "Sun Spots." I too have them. I have recently seen a doctor about them, and he said one of the easiest ways to treat them is to either wash your hair with Selsun Blue or apply it directly to the affected area and the surrounding areas and let it sit there for around 10 minutes then rinse it off. He said that you should start to notice a difference in a few weeks. I have been doing this for about 2 weeks and mine are starting to fade. It is a fungus. Its more common in darker skinned people such as myself, I am half Japanese an then my next biggest cultural influence is Cherokee so I will naturally be a bit darker. It is also more common in tropical regions. I live in Biloxi, MS, therefore I was more apt to get it. Just do that treatment and it should work for him. Good luck!

Try washing his skin with selsun blue. I have heard about something similar that is a type of fungus/athelets foot. I know this is strange but not as gross as it sounds and very common.
