Apart from the usual exercise, eating right and things like that, i recently read an article on the wonders of music on relieving stress. Aside from meditative music, just chill out with things you love to listen to. Classical music is known to get the mind working and reduces stress as well. If you've been stuck in a room for too long, maybe because you're studying for exams or restrained to a specific area at work, get out and walk, spend some time away from the room you're in, its possible that these familiar surroundings also account for stress. Hope i was of help.

There are many methods of relieving stress, most of which are energetic or psychological...but I'm not a psychologist. One way is to put our fingers on your forehead stretching one side of it from the other (left frme right) (do it for a couple of seconds...the longer the better)...this makes all the blood, energy and adrenaline that goes down to your body when stress occurs to come back up to your head and simultaneously to cause you to be more calm and a lot less angry if not at all.
example: if your stressed in a way that your being attacked by a man- eating creature the blood, energy, and adrenaline goes to your legs since your running away.
Good Luck preventing that disturbing emotion. Glad I could help if it works out.

If there is a person (not related to drugs) that is allowed to visit you maybe they can take time out to spend it with you. There are plenty of fun indoor activities that may take your mind off things. Play a video game, puzzles, draw, read, write something fictional, DVDs, listen to music, Call people and chat, etc. If you arfe really stressed and you want to take your mind off things you could always jump online and do this-answer questions. Masturbation is another great thing or even better, what the other guy said-sex but maybe not the alchohol-you still need to get it up don't forget.

Meditation is a good way. It doesn't have to be anything official or by anyone elses rules. Just find a quiet place where you won;t be interrupted, sit down in a relaxed way, close your eyes and try to let go of all thoughts. When you catch yourself thinking of something, just clear it away and try again. With practive it gets easier.
Another method, prior to that, would be to close your eyes and visualize ech of your muscles going slack, from the top, all the ay down to your toes, one group at a time. Neck, shoulders, arms, chest, stomach, legs, toes.
Also, try deep breathes, breath in slowly, counting to seven, and then breath out, slowly, counting again.
A hot tub at the YMCA can be very relaxing. Sometimes just a hot shower, where you just put your head under the water for a long time and close your eyes can work.
And lastly, a good strong orgasm, can help you relax and go to sleep.

My boss tells me that we get stressed when we are unable to accept certain things or facts. I think it's true.
Everytime I get stressed, I now ask myself why am I not accepting this fact. By answering myself, I find ways to overcome it. Acting is always the best way to deal with stress. Leaving things that worries us makes things worst. A situation usually does not goes away by itself unless acted upon.
Another way I deal with stress is to read self help books. I would recommend the following three books:
1. The Magic of Thinking Big
2. Don't Sweat the small stuff
3. Success Principles
Lastly, i try to master the art of ignoring things or events that makes me stressed!
Check out a site I created when I was stressed! Haha! http://stress.50webs.com which eventually led to http://www.wanginternet.com

Balance. Make a list of what's stressing you and create a plan to minimize them. Search yourself for what type of activities will relax you, whether it is walking, video gaming, extreme sports, smoking weed, whatever. Only you can say what type of activities will relax you.
Just remember, this is your life, and yours alone. Put yourself first, because no one else will. You'll much better to everyone in your life if you are refreshed and in charge of yourself!
