My husband is a truck driver & sometimes needs to know the shortest route from point to point, driving distance (miles) & time required for the trip. We have Rand McNally Trip maker but it doesnt show the more local / county roads. We need something that will allow us to change the routing of the trip.

I used PC Miler for years and was very happy with it. More accurate than the household movers guide and it allows you to pick your route via interstate, shortest route, toll restricted, ect.

Great product IMHO. Go to; http://www.alk.com/pcmiler/

Try www.maps.ask.com.
It is the only one where you can enter more than 2 places. Also a really cool feature is to right click anywhere on the map and add that as a location. Really helps if you dont know the address of the place, but on the map seems interesting enough to visit.
Also provides walking directions.... pretty neat for somebody trying to walk around manhattan.
