I don't believe in telling people what and how to think. If there is a problem, and I know the answer, and someone, who is smart enough to figure it out, is trying to solve it, then I let them try to solve it. If I see them running into dead-ends and they need help, then I would by all means help them out. Learning by experience is an amazing teacher and you remember the lesson. Learning by being told everything is nice but not as effective.
