Some of the responses said your baby has dropped and you'll be going into labor soon. Before you start packing your bags in a panic just realize that a baby can drop weeks before delivery. In other words, labor could be 4 or 5 weeks away.

Also, the pain or pressure in your pelvis may not even mean your baby has dropped. I am in my third pregnancy now and have felt those slight "shocks of pain" and some pressure down there for 2 weeks now, and I'm only at 33 weeks. My baby has been very low throughout this entire pregnancy so that's the cause of my discomfort - not the dropping of the baby.

Have a wonderful delivery! Congrats!

As your baby moves down you can experience a feeling of pain and pressure. Most of the time this is due to your pelvis moving apart to prepare for birth. I started experiencing the pain at 22 weeks.

The baby is dropping or moving deep into the pelvis. When this happens the head puts pressure on the cervix and stimulates it to dilate. Most women find it gets a little easier to breathe when the baby drops.

This happens to most women about this time in pregnancy. It's the baby getting big and moving lower into the pelvis. I would talk to your doctor about it at your next appointment, but normally, there is nothing to worry about and it's normal.

when your up standing or walking, the baby's head is probably already downward because you are far into the pregnancy.

it's probably the baby just becoming ready.. its nothing to really worry about unless the pressure is unbearable.. also, if you have a gut feeling telling you otherwise, see your doctor immediately.

great luck and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's just the baby turning and lowering itself in order to get ready for birth. Good luck and CONGRATS!!!

It means that the big moment draws near. Your baby has dropped into position and you should go into labor someday very soon.
