Changes start page for internet explorer to "about:blank" and when I switch it back to my normal homepage it will just switch it back. Also, in the lower right corner where the clock is 2 different icons pop up there and say that I have a trojan and spyware and they both tell me to download the same 3 or 4 programs... it also slows down my computer and popups show up even when I am not browsing the internet.

Don't you just love the people that tell you to buy a mac or to format your drive after backing everything up (including the problem), Reboot your system into safe mode to prevent anything extra from starting. Run adaware and spybot again plus your anti-virus program while in safe mode. Then do a start-run-msconfig, go to your startup files and remove naything that you do not recognize by unchecking it (if you remove something you need you can always put the check back in). I personally would also run regedit and remove the offending programs but only do that if you know what you are doing and after you make a backup of the registry. After you are done reboot and see if the problem cleared up.

You have a Smitfraud infection. It usually requires a specialized removal procedure and removal tools. Here are 2 links for information and free removal software.

Unfortunately, new variants of this pest seem to be launched every few days, so the removal information that I gave you is always playing "catch-up". If the procedure won't work for you, keep checking back to the sites I gave you. If a few days they may have updated the procedure and/or tools.
Good luck.

Computer Slow

Download and then run startup.exe at:

http://www.mlin.net/startupcpl.shtml......

Can't live without it and windows...

Then disable and/or uninstall whatever u don't need.

Other things to try:

1 - Disk Cleanup (removal of temp files, cookies, etc.)
2 - Defrag
3 - Registry Cleanup (CAN BE VERY RISKY!)
